We are a UK based company founded in 1987 on the ethos of providing great quality products at the lowest possible prices while delivering exceptional customer service and these tenets run through every part of our business, from choosing our product range to after-sales support.
We operate from a 7,000 sq. ft design, print and finish studio in Croydon (on the outskirts of London) with an additional office and extra 10,000 sq. ft of warehouse space in West Sussex. Our studio boasts some of the very best large format print equipment on the market and ensures a fast, reliable and consistently high quality service.
As a bit of a backstory to how we have grown to where we are now, we started in business in 1987 with a very basic vinyl cutting machine and screen printer, which is a long way from the state of the art large format digital printing department that is now at the heart of our organisation. The technology may have changed, but our mission hasnāt; to help companies and organisations communicate with their customers visually.
We went on to be the first company in the UK to install the āArizonaā large format printer by Oce and in the late 80ās we also invested in a flatbed UV printer and state of the art Swiss-made Zund cutting machine. This investment paid off hugely, in one year alone we managed to print enough PVC to go from London to Brighton and back again!
In 1992 we moved to a larger premises in Croydon, where we still are to this day, albeit with a few extensions to keep up with demand and expand our print capabilities.
Shortly after this we launched our website just as the world wide web was starting to take shape. This proved a great success in helping us promote our product range and allow 24/7 ordering, which was quite novel at the time. What made us stand out, and still does to this day, was that unlike many web based companies who operate as middle-men, we have full control of all aspects of the print process all under one roof.
Throughout the 90ās we built relationships with display stand producers from Taiwan, China, Korea, South Africa, Turkey and many others in order to grow our range of products to where it stands now at over 5,000 different items including products that are exclusive to Discount Displays.
In 1999 we opened new storage facilities in West Sussex expanding our warehouse space to over 10,000 sq. ft and enabling us to hold a huge range of stock for fast delivery.
Over the next couple of decades we have experienced solid growth, working with thousands of companies from every industry imaginable.
In 2018 it was time to expand again, with the opening of an ancillary account and marketing office based in Chichester, West Sussex to ensure we can provide the best possible shopping experience to our customers.
