After 17 years, we are thrilled to announce a major enhancement to our production capabilities: the installation of the Zünd G3 L-3200 Digital Cutter. As a growing business, maximising space efficiency is essential. We always aim to prioritise innovation while carefully managing space and costs. This investment reflects our commitment to expanding our product range and staying ahead in a competitive market.
While our previous Zünd cutter served us well, advancements in technology meant it was time to reassess our options. After extensive market research, we chose to remain loyal to the Zünd brand. This decision allows us to build on a proven track record of quality performance and reliability.
The G3 represents a leap forward in cutting-edge technology. Its integrated camera system and advanced features streamline workflows, reduce errors, and boosts efficiency. Significantly, the ability to handle materials up to 110 mm thick unlocks exciting new possibilities. We are now moving to work with a broader range of materials and deliver more diverse solutions to our customers.
We have equipped this machine with new tools to produce sustainable cardboard displays for exhibitions and point-of-sale (POS) setups. This allows us to meet the increasing demand for environmentally friendly solutions. In light of this, we will aim to more closely align with our customers’ sustainability goals.
Over the next few months, we will be introducing a wider range of in-house sustainable displays. We are exploring the possibility of bringing the production of our cardboard display stands and other products, like our Recyclable Cardboard Banner Stand, in-house. Currently, these are manufactured in collaboration with our production partners.
Recyclable cardboard displays like pop-up counters, POS shelving, cardboard display stands or life-size cardboard cut-outs, offer a more eco-friendly solution for companies looking to lessen their environmental impact. Their lightweight yet strong structure makes them suitable for transporting and re-using – and not to mention more affordable. Cardboard displays such as these are a fantastic innovation and make a great statement about a business’ values. The best part about cardboard displays is at the end of their lifetime they can be recycled instead of thrown into landfill.
Additionally, a powerful router tool has been added to precisely cut our both Foamex and Perspex displays. This allows us to produce custom contour cut signs with even greater accuracy. Not only does this reduce our reliance on external production partners, but it will also shorten production times and give us greater control over processes.
The entire team at Discount Displays is excited by the opportunities this new investment creates. For our team, this upgrade is more than just a new machine. The Zünd opens up new avenues for creativity, innovation, and efficiency. From expanding into eco-friendly displays to producing bespoke signage in-house. Discount Displays is in an even stronger position to better serve the evolving needs of the industry. Altogether, the G3 will help us to improve turnaround times and maintain the highest quality standards.
