The Best Christmas Facade & Window Displays 2024

As Christmas soon approaches, London’s most iconic stores have been dazzling again with some amazing Christmas displays. Join us as we explore the best festive facades and window displays of 2024!

Selfridges – More The Merrier!

Selfridges’ 2024 Christmas window display embraces a maximalist approach, encouraging everyone to live a brighter Christmas. The iconic Oxford Street windows were created in collaboration with British sculptor Andrew Logan, drawing inspiration from the charm of Christmas grottos. With this in mind, each window has been transformed into a unique cave, filled with different styles, textures, and colours. Alongside these displays, the windows also feature some of Logan’s smaller artwork, including the mosaic mirrors and vibrant hues for which he is known for. This year’s display is truly a feast for the eyes.

“The festive season at Selfridges is an antidote to the mundane; it’s our vibrant crescendo to 2024 as we transform our stores into high-octane wonderlands”

Harrods – Workshop of Wonders

Harrods’ 2024 Christmas window display, in partnership with Loro Piana, unveils an enchanting “Workshop of Wonders,” a tribute to the Maison’s 100 years of excellence. Spanning an impressive 36 windows, the takeover extends beyond the glass with pop-up stores and interactive workshops. The Brompton Road facade depicts a Christmas fairy tale, featuring a Christmas tree adorned with clouds,  designed to represent the story of a fibre – soft and heavenly. As can be seen, the windows showcase a 1920s aesthetic with installations reminiscent of a marionette theatre, complete with a handcrafted wooden charm.

Fortnum and Mason – Christmas Forest

Fortnum & Mason’s 2024 Christmas window display offers a stunning showcase of their festive products, highlighting their newly launched packaging. The windows are brought to life with majestic animals and birds, ornate decorative borders, lush foliage, and striking colours. Furthermore, visitors to the iconic Piccadilly store are invited to look out for some ‘mischievous mice’  in each window… A delightful surprise that adds a whimsical touch to the streets of London.

“These elements come together to create our 2024 windows, highlighting just how extraordinary a Fortnum’s Christmas can be.”

Harvey Nichols – Whimsical Windows

Harvey Nichols‘ 2024 Christmas window display brings a touch of whimsy as they partner with The World of Tim Burton exhibition at the Design Museum. The windows blend Burton’s fantastical aesthetic with the elegance of Harvey Nichols. The Knightsbridge store showcases five exclusive sculptures from Burton’s private collection. Simultaneously, characters from The Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy & Other Stories add a playful yet eerie charm to the festivities. Meanwhile, other displays transport viewers to surreal Burton landscapes framed by twisted trees, each telling its own unique story. Significantly, Burton’s signature black-and-white motifs represent the director’s iconic style, leaving us to question whether The Nightmare Before Christmas has claimed its crown in the Christmas versus Halloween debate.
